Well I'm trying to finalize a purchase of four new rhino's and we're having trouble getting a shipping company to deliver them. Anybody have any suggestions on who to try? We've tried Central freight (That's who delivered my first one for $500 and they said they will not ship anything that isn't crated anymore) and a few motorcycle shippers but they only have containers that are 48" wide and want over $1500 a piece to crate and ship them. I'm trying to get them shipped for around $500=$800 each so anybody?

Specs on a rhino:
113.6" Long X 54.5" wide X 73" Long      X 4 of them
I don't care if it's an open or encolsed trailer

Going from Palentine, Illinois to San Bernardino, California
Much thanks to anyone with a suggestion..
Scott

It is, only a rhino weighs 1045 lbs and the limit is 850 with that co. And you have to deliver it within "zones" and Cal and Ill are in different zones. I'm starting to think a road trip is in order. I knoww I can get three on my truck and trailer.4 would be stretching it. Anyone in AZ havw any connections for rhino's? I need four of the 07 660 green models..

Any dealerships there in Glendale, AZ? I would much rather just drive to AZ and pick em up... It's rediculous what they are getting for them here in Ca.. If you can even find one.

I just talked to my oldest brother. His friend just bought a Rhino and had it shipped from Rock River Motorsports in Wisc., they talked to a lady named Jodie. He didn't have a phone number for them. He said they are a hard find around here right now.

I talked to the owner of Rockriver this morning. We're gonna try to make a deal. He has some special deal with Central freight where he can still ship through them. He's pretty firm with his price and it's about 1k more than the other guy. It's still not a bad deal but I'm gonna keep lookin. He can ship an 07' green model for around 10-10,200. They want at least 12 here in Cal. That includes tax an licence but still they are raping folks here in cali..

Maybe you can fly out and rent a truck to drive them back??

Will they fit in a uhaul type truck??  Perhaps you have friends who might want one or two and could help pay the rental?

You probably already thought of this, just trying to help........ :good

Good Luck!! :good

I can fit four of them in the biggest uhaul truck but it's 79 cents a mile on top of the rental fee. add that to the price of a ticket and we're back to what the one company I found that will do it quoted me. $3900 for all four. And I have to send tie down  straps to the dealership to tie them down in the truck..
Man...Try to save a buck and see where it gets ya? :beat

You need to call some flatbed trucking companies that handle LTL(less than truckload) freight. You'll get a better deal with a flatbed carrier that runs between these two states than a tarrifed freight carrier such as Central, Yellow, Conway, etc.. I have an LTL co., but it would cost a bit more than the U-Haul to get them here. We don't run much to Ill. The rate is based on mileage(both deadhead and loaded)/weight/deckspace(% of full trailer).

You definitely do not need that much space. You'll pay truckload rate. If the are crated, they can stack. If uncrated, they can be turned sideways, which uses only about 18 1/2 feet of deck space. We do run there, but usually do not backhaul out to the west coast. I'll get you some names of co's that can help. We do mostly military loads, so we go to where the bases are. Where abouts in Mo. would these be coming from, and when?
