50" Plasma: Vizio 1499.99 or Panasonic 1999.99? Can anyone tell me if the Panasonic is worth the extra cash?? Thanks in advance  :)  :)

The local news did a story on TV's. There "expert" said to make sure to buy the extended warranty!!

All I've heard is that plasma's will "fade" over time...good for maybe 5-7 years max.....I like the Samsung DLP.... :good

I went with the 37" Sharp Aquos LCD for my bedroom instead of a plasma. The bulb in the LCD has a 10,000 hour lifespan then is about $50 to replace. The LCD never wears out. The plasmas have about 10 years before they're no good, due to the plasma gas degrading.
