A question for the brethren......

There have been serious trials and tribulations where I work, I've had enough, and have made the decision to move on.

So the question....does anyone have any experience with someone who writes professional resumes, or has used a professional resume writing service?

I could put mine together, but I have been amazed at some of the resumes I have read in the past. I would appreciate any information from those in the know!

I write my own using a Word Perfect format, got me a Gubment job with the last one. I've heard to keep'em short and informative, they don't want to read your life history just stuff pertinent(s/p) to the job their looking to fill ;)

I concur with KC....one page, targeting the position to fill, will work, in most cases, to get the interview.  Detail some of the job specifics that you possess which will fill their need... :good

It will ultimately come down to the face-to-face time and how well you connect with the company across the desk... :beer

Hell, they didn't even look at mine, hell they didn't even take one from the pretty little blonde they just hired. she use to work at UPS. And yes glen she does look like that pic you keep posting, but she does not dress like that.

Seriously, I could not be more happy. I realize that I will never get rich but not many get paid to be on the river everyday. My parents have always owned their own business as do my siblings. They have plenty of $$, just no time to enjoy it. I'll take my 26 vacation days each year and enjoy what little I have :good

That didn't come out right..... my family and I have been very blessed. Everyone is in good health, the kids are getting good grades, all the bills are paid, not shoveling snow. It's ALL good :good
