Well I have the good and the bad news, first off, My boss said they need me out there in phx,AZ And he is getting all the paper work readly for me to go, The bad is, I'm not readly, but The wife said to do it, so I'm, as of right now, maybe coming out there just after X-mass for a month or so to see if I like the work they have for me, I told him I need to know what I will be doing befor I say yes to this, Then I will go and try it out, I will be running to L.A. and vegas, fisco and back, all to the airports, and will be make alot more that I do here, If you don't know much about trucking, I work hourly here, and can only do 55mph and 65mph on the pike, out there I will get miles, I only do about 500 miles a day here, out there with the 75mph speed limit and can do about 700 to 800 a day, more miles = more money. I sat down last night and did alot of thinking and for what I do here, I can double out there. It all pays the same here and there, It's just I can do more miles faster, and still be home.

So I may have to ask you guy's for alot of info about out there, I have been out there so many times It feels like second home to me, I have been running the road from L.A to ohio and back since 1995, but I don't know everything.
So "Glen" how is the area around 59th and I-10, the warehouse is 1 exit east of the fly'n J truck stop a few blocks down on the south side of 10, is that a ok area, and what is the safe and nice area to live in near there, It could be as far as a hour out. thanks, sorry for such a long post.

Congrats and good luck!!!!  Hope all works out to get you out of that cold box.  :D

There are many homes west of that truck stop. better part may be north west of the 101 and I-10 interchange just a few miles from I-10 and 59th ave.

If you are going to be working off of 59th and I-10, we're right here too. The Flyin' J is at 67th ave and 59th is the next exit east.

They are right off the corner of W. jefferson and 59th, by the railroad track, is that a safe area, I mean is my truck going to be there when I come back, I mean there are no bad areas here, unless your up in the big city, I mean you have crime anywhere you go, it's just that I can leave my atv outside with the keys in it and it will still be there, hell, the guy next door leaves his garage door open all night in the summer, and he has a few 4 wheelers.

Yeh, I know cali is 55mph, but all the other states, like UT, NV, AZ, NM are all 75. If your pulled over here for 75 or 80mph, your going to be in big trouble, cuz 75 is 15 over, and thats a big NO NO!!!!!

Congrats on the move :good About getting miles, California is 55 and they only allow 5 over. Who you running for, I know just about all those wherehouses in that area!.. :good

Black horse carriers.
Yeh, I know cali is 55mph, but all the other states, like UT, NV, AZ, NM are all 75. If your pulled over here for 75 or 80mph, your going to be in big trouble, cuz 75 is 15 over, and thats a big NO NO!!!!!

Ok I know who they are!.. Yeah that 55 sure sucks, to me it's a hazard!. :angry

Are you driving a truck to.

Me?? not anymore, I probably would if there was anything better than Swift, that's about all there is in this place!. :rolleyes

What do you haul?? :stupid

Food to the airports, and they will be getting other contracts.
Right now I drive for them over here, and haul food to the aldi food stores. Which by the way is slowly moveing your way, they said they will have a wharehouse out there by 2010, And I would like to go back to haul for aldi's out there. As of right now, I don't know If I can get any local run with them out there, I will have to wait and see.
