Ok I seen this over on hot boat, and I check into it here in ohio, and I can take a online class, so I check it out, And took a practice test, no studying, and I'm sad to say I fail badly, after all these years of boating and jetskiing, I got 55 out of 75 right. So I'm going to start study so I can pass the class and get a certification.

In order to get my "Motorboat Operators Certification" for the Dept. of Interior (work), I had to take a USCG course. This was a week long course with three days of intense classroom instruction. About 1/3 of the students failed the written test the first time. It seemed that the bouy markings gave them the most trouble. I missed a couple of questions regarding the mast light on a sailboat :stupid

Everyone in the class did fairly well on the practical exercises except for one guy that dropped out of the course with a bad case of trailer backing frustration

I had trouble with the ropes and still can't tie a knot :confused

I am not a Gynecologist, but I'll take a look.

Yep...not too many of us West Coast "trailer boaters" need to be aware of the bouy markings to head out into the open sea....

or the Inter-Coastal Waterway.... :beat
