Silly Question.  Say I run across something like this but just want the hardware to do like what your doing to the spectra. Would this be a good donner boat? Or would I need to look for something to fit what I'm working on? IE different prop shaft angle ect. I know little about a vdrive.  ;)

Well, first you'd have to find one that's the same or very close as the project your building especially for the cavitation stuff on the back, and then you'd have to look at the hardware to see if it's not old wore out stuff that's been abused, personally I would not pickup a donor unless it's a total smoking deal and you could strip it and sell the boat, there's a lot of hardware out there being sold for decent prices that could be used, as far as shaft angle goes the strut determines that, and any old boat will need to be changed because they were all too steep, but that's an easy thing to do and the easiest way is to plug it all up and start fresh. Now in my case all the hardware is all heavy duty racing stuff from my other boat, which is actually overkill for what I'll be doing with the boat, lol, but I've got it so I'll use it. :good

I just don't get why people have to have monster power in a boat like that. Same with stereo's. I can listen to music any time. When on the water that's my relaxation time. I can care less about hearing that crap during my float time.
