A recent discussion about New Years resolutions prompted the topic of quiting smoking, which lead the topic of the price of smokes, which got me to thinking about how much my wife and I spend on cigs. When I mentioned that if my wife and I quit, it would save enough money to make the boat payment and fill the 50 gallon tank each month, a guy I don't even know offered me a 18' invader I/O fixer upper...... for FREE!  :good  I just need to find a trailer.

I am not a Gynecologist, but I'll take a look.

I am going to give it a serious attempt. My wife and I have both quit several times through the years. Since we don't smoke in the house or vehicles, this is the perfect time of year to try again (too chily in the evenings/mornings to go outside). Nicotine addiction is some crazy sheit :angry  Good Luck!

I am not a Gynecologist, but I'll take a look.

I have some friends that bought their first boat that way.  Back when cigs were $2 a pack.  They put $4 in a kitty for a year and at the end went out and bought a little blue glastron for $1200.  We had a ball on that little boat.  :pirate

I have not seen the boat. I guess the interior is pretty rough and will need all new seat covers/carpet. The transom gasket on out-drive was replaced and the engine (V6 chevy) ran before it was parked. I figured it would be a good project for the boys. They can fix 'er and keep it, or sell it and help pay for auto insurance. :laugh

The best way to quit is to stop buying them. I know, sounds easier then it is. I quit about 3 years ago. You can't break down after a few months and give in though. You know what I'm talking about....those drunk nights at the river, when your wrenching on stuff, after a nice big meal and cold beer, with coffee in the morning.   One thing that may help you quit is taking up some sort of activity together.  Walking in the morning, joining a gym, etc...
