Jeff,
it looks awesome, it's amazing how quickly it's progressed. Maybe I can stop by and take a look in person this weekend, if you're going to be around.

Wow what a weekend,
1-15-07 A dust devil blew through Dust Junkie Racing’s enclave better known as the Man Cave over the weekend, with a multitude of progress made as we race down the home stretch of the build. The Rock Buggy Supply shipment of parts netted a truck load of new parts for the TJ and it seemed like Christmas as DJR ripped into them. At any given time over the last 72 hours there was something being built or improved on the car. Fighting off the cold in the shop with 4 propane heaters the DJR crew worked late into the night and almost right into the next day with most of the team camping out. The Axles are near completion with a couple new CTM parts waiting to finish them off and finally sit the TJ on wheels and ready to roll by the end of the week. The big news from the weekend is that with help from Loose Nuts Enterprises the chassis is complete and will be welded up today by our friends at Fat City Engineering. Front and rear bumpers are not what you would expect on a TJ. DJR went outside the box and looked toward the future in the design that hints at the Herbst Land Shark inspired bumpers. Let’s hope the TJ is a fraction as successful on the race course as the Herbst truggy.

Inside the chassis, the dash, fire wall, and parker pumper mounts have all been fabed as well as the gas tank mounts. Spare tire mounts are completed and rear cross members have been added and strengthened Front shock towers have had material added and will receive addition gusseting this week. The King shocks will be mounted late this week.
Jack Robbins of RVMD fame came by and picked up the body parts that require paint and even Air brush artist and RVMD side kick Phil came by and hinted at the possibility of his handy work landing on the hood of the yet to be named Jeepspeed 2 TJ.

What lies ahead?
The roof and tail lights need to be mounted, wiring a fuel system, install the body panels, exhaust, radio and intercom, drive shafts, dash gages, and all the little odds and ends. DJR hopes to finish next weekend and allow some private test and practice time with the new car before heading out to The Parker 425 in Parker AZ. February 1-4
