Well it seems we have alot of conflict of shows coming up this Season so we want to step up to some sort of TiVo. We don't do digital on our cable service :( Any suggestions or hot deals out there. Looks like going direct thru TiVo,this seems like a pretty good deal :stupid

MAybe this one???

don't know if you have cox in T town or not, but you can get a DVR for like 5$ a month that will record 2 channels at the same time.........

We have that and then record onto DVD anything we really want to save....Like the last 500 episodes of the Suite Life of Zack and Cody...........for the boy............really............ok, the mom is hot!!!   :rotflmao

Why on gods green earth should I pay for a service so I can record programs.  Why can't I get a DVR, plug it in and record.  You know like a VCR .  Next thing you know I will have to pay to wipe my ass.   :say?    :banghead

I don't keep the shows and I could care less about recording in HD or anything like that or even burning to DVD.  I just want to record, watch and delete.

Local cable service here provided the box with the DVR service.  $17/month, I believe.  We can record any channel, basic, digital, premium, or HD.

It's a MOXI, new stuff, so have not figured out the DVD off-loading yet... :beat

We do the same but it's getting to be a pain the butt dealing with the tapes and the player/recorder.  Unless you have 2 VCRs you can only record one channel at a time. Then every once in a while the freaking thing gets hungry and snacks on the tape.  :pissed

When Tivo first came out you could buy a Lifetime subscription (which I did) for $299. Now that'll get you 3 years and one free? Too bad, I was thinking of getting another for the bedroom.

I bought the box at Fry's for $199 (half off) so far it's been great to have. I have it networked with my home computers and can save stuff to hard drive and playback from the computer as well.

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

I'm leaning towards TiVo they have some refurbished DVD-R machines for around a hundy or 2 hundy with 1 year warranty.

Hey I have the Tivo DT. And I love it.

Sure theres a fee, but Id gladly pay it to be able to be lazy.. And the Dual Tuner is great... Record two shows at once, and watch a third.. Cant beat that!

Its called 3 VCR's in my house.........I'm way to freakin' cheap to upgrade past basic/extended cable TV......
LOL, $13 a month.........a 3rd of what I pay for the damn cable in my havi house, where I barely get to use it :angry
