Ok, first off I am a regular here but made a new screen name for this post. Its a serious matter that I needed to get off my chest cuz I'm bustin at the seams but I want to keep it confidential as possible for the time being to protect my friend. Please do not try to find out who I am, and/or if you feel so overwhelmingly compelled to do so I ask that it be kept confidential.(for those IP guru's out there) A close friend of mine tried to commit suicide last year. A mother of one young boy and a loving husband by her side. Ever since the birth of her son(now 3) she had apparently felt she'd lost her self worth. She seemed to loose the love she had inside and didn't know how to give it any longer. Nothing mattered and facing friends was a monumental challange. I attended her 40th b'day party, she seemed normal to me yet something dark was burning inside her. Not long after this party she snuck out of her house while the son and husband slept, drove a ways down a freeway, stopped and tried twice to jump in front of an oncoming semi. 1st one honked and she jumped back, second attempt she stayed out, the truck swerved and slammed on the brakes. She got knocked down by the truck and run over, her legs/feet coming to rest under the rear wheels. 3/4 of a year has past since this day, she is not able to walk much at all and is wheelchair bound most of the time. In the first months since the accident she still wanted to die, but since has been treated for chemical imbalances and now recovering at a snail pace. She is on the mend and has her positive attitude back. Apparently God had a different plan for her. I've had her and her family as guests to the river, something she'd always loved. She has an open invite to join me again. One thing she did find out through this ordeal is who her real friends were. So thank you all for letting me get this out, and if you can add her to your prayers I'm sure it will only help. Ask your Lord to help Blondie through this difficult time. Thanks y'all.

Great link Glassman, depression is truly a difficult time for not only the patient but all the people surrounding them. Treatment is not always recommended by the doctors we put so much trust in Thoughts and prayers to this family
