I wrote a new hack for the board today as it's my last day off before school starts again.

If you have ever noticed member's names in grey on the main board view, it's because they have not fully processed their registration.

A new link is on the main board view that lists those members with an explanation below the list explaining it.

The link looks like this:

It's very frustrating though.  A lot of new member applicants don't get the email, or they don't respond to it.

AOL flat out rejects any email from this site! :pissed

Their poor customers have no idea how much of their important emails get canned before they even see it.

How about one that restricts them, from the areas for memebers, until they have like 20 posts??  :stupid  We seem to have alot of people that sign up just to look....

There's pros and cons to just about everything. :beat

I used to automatically authorize everyone, but spammers started to take advantage. :banghead

Currently, members "Awaiting Authorization" can NOT view the 3 forums that a "guest" can't. :)
