I have some freinds that were quoted 200 to replace ther bathroom faucet. All the dude had to do is show up relace it. They had the faucet. I went out and put it in for them. Took me 30 minutes including replacing the hot water side valve.

If it was all sinks and faucets it would be a pretty good job, of course I knew a guy that all he did was new construction, that was good!..

Don't get me started on those new construction prima donnas! 
Sometimes I don't know who is snootyier (a word?) the guys who build 'em or the folks who buy the million $ houses. I called one guy about countertops and he gave me such a line of BS...."Well, I usually don't do remodels, but since you're a friend of so + so I'll see if I can come by and take a look"....

SW here, That would be me, I'm one of the snooty new con plumbers, in fact I'm actually not even a plumber any more. I gave away all my tools and just design plumbing systems.
(well I do a little more then that) 
One thing you have to work into your price KC is all the BS that we have to do outside the actual work. Ya know INS, lic,TAX, !
I don't like doing service too much because I don't like ripping people off, and thats the only way to make a buck in service.
Plumbing has been very good to me, I have done just about everything in the trade and I know I can get a job any where they have poop!

Well there are a lot of those alright but not all are but the work is good, beats digging in $hit!..

The thing that got my goat was that the guy I called hasn't worked in a while....There isn't much new home construction going on around here right now.
You'd a thunk he'd welcome a easy job, I had it all prepped, no demo, very few cuts, nothing fancy.

What it cost for a house call to rebuild a Delta faucet? I went and picked up the part and installed it in about 25 minutes(includes travel time).
or is it more like $125.00
