DLR was a show man than a singer. I liked VH better with Sammy.

I'm a huge fan of the Redrocker but I think the best stuff Van Halen did was all pre 1985. |
DOn't get me wrong. I liked VH all along. Just didn't like the antics that Dave displayed.

There are a lot of great groups out there today. But the tunes in my opinion today are slim pickens compaired to the late 70's through the 80's where there were so many bands with there own sound and and sOOO many great songs.

Back and forth, forth and back. It's done, IMO. Eddie is an ass. Isn't Mike Anthony gone? Because he was sick of Eddie's crap and just wanted to play music? If I remember correctly, he got canned because he was touring with Sammy so that he could play. Heaven forbid he go out and play music! Guess he should have just sat around and waited for Eddie to make up his mind about who he wanted to sing while going in and out of rehab. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the music with both singers, but Eddie seems more interested in his own ego than the music.

Eddie definitely has an ego. He is a great guitarist... probably in the top 20 behind SRV, Clampton, etc. I guess Mike was replaced with Ed's son, Wolfgang. I know Mike was only a bassist but his vocals will be hard to replace. Still, I am going to try and catch a show this tour.

We are biased about Mike in the woods home. Mike helped make the band. You can shuffle singers all you want but Mike was a big part of the band. Theres a shark somewhere that recently got jumped. Put a fork in it. Just leave it be Eddie.
We saw Sammy and DLR together a few years ago and I thought both where very good. Personally I did not miss Eddie one bit. The Guy from the atamic punks who played for DLR was as good as eddie and played all his licks to the tee. It was not Eddie but i did not miss him one bit.
Anyone see him on the cover of Guitar magazine. Terrible. Put a shirt on old man you look horrible. Mike and Sammy over Van Halen anyday! Them boys know how to rock!

Saw a Hagar special on HD.... their black lead axe player was AMAZING....
