I was watching a tourny tonight on ESPN2 that one of the contestants went blasting through fellow contestants. He was DQ'ed for unsafe boating. But they did weigh his ccatch. would have ended up I think they said 12th.

I wonder if you can DQ'd for unsafe towing? My buddy had the trailer for his brand new Skeeter get demolished in the parking lot at Windsor last weekend. The trailer was fine when he weighed in but was tore to pieces when he went to retrive his boat. To add insult..... he was last place in the money which didn't quite cover fuel. Oh Yeah. Almost forgot to mention that his team partner, who was fishing a tourney on Martinez on the same day, completely totaled his truck and boat trailer while leaving Squaw Lake. I guess he went to reach for something across the cab of the truck and drove his rig over the big boulders that line the road. Â |

Isn't that allowed, as long as you wave as you go through, and you're in a no wake zone?? Â Â Â |
I think it was more about he was only 3-4ft away from the other boat    |
I just heard that he ran between a tourney fisherman and his camera boat, and the fisherman waived him through....

Golden State Anglers Rule Nevada Tourney
LAKE MEAD - Californians dominated the FLW Stren Series bass fishing tournament at Lake Mead. Californians took four of the top five spots in the professional division and first place in the co-angler division in the tournament that concluded Saturday. Jeff Michels, a resident of Lakehead, boated 14 bass totaling 31 pounds, 11 ounces to win the pro division. With the win came $29,500 in cash and a $40,000 519VX Ranger bass boat powered by Yamaha. Sean Stafford of Fairfield finished second, followed by John Mikkelson of Temecula. Boulder City’s Tom Klinger placed fourth, with the fifth spot claimed by Charley Almassey of Oakley. Stacy Gee of Sacramento, won the co-angler division with a 4-day total of ten bass, weighing 16 pounds, 13 ounces.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ - The waters of Lake Havasu are featured prominently this Sunday on Fox Sports Net (FSN) as last month’s FLW fishing tournament is aired.
Footage from the tournament will air Sunday morning at 8am. It can be seen on cable channel 41, DirectTV channel 645, and Dishnetwork channel 415. With a $1-million purse, the event yielded the largest award ever held in Lake Havasu City.
The Lake Havasu City Convention and Visitors Bureau has been helping the event's organizers hold more tournaments in all of Arizona. FLW tournament officials have already been in contact with the CVB looking at scheduling another event for next year. “The entire show focuses on the one tournament held here,†said CVB Vice-President Jarrod Lyman. "Plus, a two minute segment that showcases Lake Havasu City. That kind of exposure is a tremendous value. We couldn’t afford to buy that,†he said.
