We are going floating on Canyon lake Sunday to check out the freinds new(to them) Baja and taking our barge out to run it through the paces as well. Anyone els game let us know. The Baja is an 18' Islander witha yellow and a purple stripes. Ours is the Searay in my signature.

Yup still heading out. I'll try to et some pic's. The lake is small but the scienery is fantastic.
The trip was just about cancelled. I went to the gas station and had no brakes on the trailer.  Got it home and bled the brakes and all is well now.

Seems like you had that problem once before!.. |
CLose. I had brakes then. they just had an issue of unwilling to freewheel.  You know, Constant shoe to drum contact.
I got it back together a year ago and replaced the drums with disc. And yes it took just about 11 months to get the trailer back on the ground and rolling. I haven't done anything to it since. I probly should have bled the brakes after the first trip last year but didn't.  But the thing stopes now with little effort.

What a fantastic day!!! We didn't want to get off the lake.
That little Baja flat out runs!!! I wish the speedo worked(on order). Get it up on plane and trim it out and it gets REAL light and just flys. We need to get it on some smooth water so we can realy turn it loose and realy see what it can do.
Sorry we didn't get any pictures due to having to much fun playing with the Baja.

OK i have to tell one funny launch ramp story from this weekends outing.
I had put our boat in the water and had come back to the ramp to put the friends boat in. As we were backing down the ramp there was another truck backing down with a couple jet skis. As there trailer submerged the ski's started to float off the trailer. There riders already on them. once the ski's wer afloat on of the riders yelled at the truck friver.....
"The trailer is loose!!" He bails off the ski(he did have a jacket on) but is to deap to touch ground. Now the driver bails oout of the truck. Now picture the hitch about a foot under water becaus the truck driver kept backing up after the ski's were afloat. Took both guys to find the hitch and get it hooked back on the truck. Later as we pulled our boats out I took a look at the hitch for these ski's, there were no safty chains or cables and the latch on this trailer looked real cheesy at best. I hope they got them home with out huting someone ells.

There was another group that the gal put the trailer in so deep that the bow eye on the boat was 6" over the bow roller on the trailer. The boat eye should have been below the roller.
