I remember last year there was a story about needing to get a permit to be able to launch and park at canyon lake. With this there were locations to buy these permits.  I know that there were a few circle k's but can you pay when you get to the lake still??  Anyone remember this for not just Canyon but Saguaro as well as the rest of the salt river lakes.

Thanks folks!!

I think they pulled all the self pay stations out and you have to buy the permits in town, but I am not sure if all circle K's carry them.......best bet might be to go on the G&f website and see what they say....

Another option is to buy the yearly permit for like $80.00 and that one is good at All the Valley lakes but Pleasant....

G&F is located on Higley north of Brown on the west side of the street in the undeveloped industrial park south of Falcon Field.....

Not sure what their Saturday hours are...... :stupid

Hope that helps........ :D

YOU CAN BUY THESE PERMITS AT THE CANYON LAKE STORE BUT MIGHT NOT BE OPEN WHEN YOU GET THERE

:stupid Never need a Permit at Apache at the Marina :D  they do ask for I think $5 for day use at a drop[ box but very few do it and they don't enforce it. Roosevelt charges if you use any of their Improved campgrounds or ramps they have automated machines to buy them at the lake.

Doesn't make sence to not have a drop box or something at the lake for people who drive out and don't know about the permits. :say?  :pissed

I'll check it out though :comp BRB

Now Here's the low down. If you stay away from the privately run marina. The rest of the lake is run by the Forest Service, Here's a link to there regs and fees..........

Regs And Fees

You'll need Adobe or some other pdf reader to open them though. :comp

The forest service around here has no sence of humor.  If you don't get there permit they will ticket you car.  Not sure what the fine is but I would bet it's a hell of lot more than the $10 permit.
