Hi there

I found and reg'd on this site yesterday, just thought I'd toss out an introduction. I was just going to be reading posts for a while, but found I needed to register to see some of the more, umm, interesting forums.  :D

I'm useally on another boating board, and I enjoy that boards discussions and members. But I found this one looking for something more local. Maybe there are a few in here who I already know??

Well, We're near HB, SoCal and also have a vac home near BHC, AZ. So our waters are typically Needles to London Bridge, Mohave (when not crowded), and Long Beach coastal. Have made one trip to Catalina and looking forward to more of that.

Boat is an '06 Monterey 214FS. So far, looks like most in here have the Go Fast boats I'm useally trying to get out of the way of. But I won't hold that against ya'll.  :peace

I'll just sit back and read for a while, get a feel for the convos in here. But, just in case I post a stupid comment about AM Idol or ???, at least you know who I am and can't call me rude.

?? you made me a little nervous there glassman, thinking this site is a bit more 'open' than I thought.  :)

My son played from age 5 thru 20. Lots of NON boating years there.
I made a horrible attempt at adult leagues for a few years, but it's too painful now.

We just watch now. KINGS fans. And it's hard to be a Kings fan these days, especially living in OC.  :pissed

OK, so we've already established that your mind is located in the gutter with the rest of ours and I know from personal experience that you have to be crazy if your kid played hockey that long. How far did you have to drive for ice time? :stupid


Our oldest played goalie for the L.A. Junior Kings...gotta love those 1 - 2 am practices!

You call it the gutter.... I call it Fantasy Land. And I've got a good imagination.  :D

My son was (is?) also a goalie. Playing scaha in Anaheim and Lakewood mostly, so not bad travel for practices. He did play a summer league in Burbank once, that was a tad outt'a the way.

His last two years was with the Jr Bombers. Then girls came into the picture and his new leg pads sit in the garage.  :banghead

But.... opened up more river time for us.  :good
