I have saved so much time and $$$ thanks to the Internet. And also wasted alot of time and $$$ thanks to the Internet.
So this morning the washing machine took a dump So I'm thinking well there goes 800-1200 bucks for a new set up. Then I thought after fixing the dryer a few months ago might as well take a poke at the washer. Search the net for why its not agitating and comes back with 3 things the clutch, tranny or this coupler deal. Couple of guys had some posts on how to check it out and ends up being the coupler $5 part instead of the $100 parts So off to Ebay and the guy I bought the dryer parts from has the coupler
Thanks again Al for creating the Internet

Oh and another thing its amazing the gunk that builds up in old appliances. Taking them apart really shows you the gaak. Funny its almost like you need to maintain them like cars and stuff

I've repaired the ol' Maytag twice now with parts I found on the internet. Both times under $20 including shipping.
The first time it broke it was just a little plastic piece that trips a switch when the cover is closed....took a day to figure out why it wouldn't drain.
That one was fixed with a bit of spring steel No wonder the Maytag repairman is so lonely!
