I think I'll skip the boob on the back! HAHA
Can't wait to get out to the river!
Hopefully the first trip is going to be over Cinco De Mayo! Â
Anyone going to be out there? We will be staying at Needles Marina. |
Hey Congrats!!! Â Â
Just got back from Needles Marina myself. We had a great spot overlooking the lagoon. Have you stayed there before? |
I haven't stayed there before... How did you like it? We got a spot at the lagoon too. Also, what if anything have you heard about taking a toy hauler out there during the summer? We don't want to leave it out there, just bring it out for some of our trips to cut back on the $$ that we spend on lodging. Is it bad for it? We would leave the AC on during the day on low to keep it cool inside. Just wondering how hard it was on the rig itself... |
Fine for toyhaulers, motorhomes, etc. I've been there in the heat of summer and it's not bad at all. Some spots have shade trees. I noticed that they plan on a surcharge for A/C during the summer. They didn't tack one on when we were there, but then again, I only used the A/C once to cool the rig down in the evening. It was very cool at night - very comfortable.
You will want to secure everything while you are away (roll up awnings, put away stuff, etc.)...the wind can, and does pick up suddenly. We had a bad dirt storm followed by rain that was not much fun. But as quick as it comes...it's gone.
I'm trying to confirm some dates for the next trip, but I don't think we'll be able to get a river view spot again.
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

Good to know thanks! I'm going to look for those spots with shade trees and maybe request those! We only have one AC and I don't want to kill... Maybe I'll look at the calendar and start reserving spots for the entire summer! $36 compared to $200 a night is a killer deal... Maybe that would equal more river trips! Let me know if you end up staying there again, maybe we'll be staying there at the same time!
PS - Do you know if they allow campfires in contained firepits? Don't want to drag it out there if they don't allow it. I guess I could call and ask though...
Goin to the river to destroy my liver!
