Well, after 3 months or more of working 110 hours a week and having absolutely no life, I'm back to my normal job and close to normal hours. Haven't even had time to check in here for a while so it took me a while to remember my login.
So, what's new here? I skimmed through a few threads and saw a couple new names. Everyone should be getting those boats wet by now, it's been busy at the lake. I'm back on the water at Saguaro this year so you AZ folks better stop by and say hello.
Anyway, good to be back, done with a job I didn't really like to do only because of the hours, although the overtime was INCREDIBLE and I bought myself a real nice toy with it. I'll give you a hint and the motorheads here will probably get it...four wheels, 500 HP, 550 pounds of torque, just short of 200MPH, and ok, I'll make it easy...10 cylinders.
Talk to you all later.

Ok, I guess I made the hints too easy, should have left out the 10 cylinder part. Love the car despite the fact I've never been much of a sports car guy. I rented one in Maui about 5 years ago and loved it. Told my wife I planned to buy one someday and the overtime made it possible sooner than expected. I shopped around for a couple months with a specific model/year/color in mind, unfortunately they only make 324 of that edition and there's probably only 200 left, 100 maybe with less than 20,000 miles. Found one in Texas and flew over there and drove it back. I love the car, it's a blast, just REAL expensive when it comes to parts and service. Anyway, here's a picture.
By the way, I'll be at the lake Friday through Monday so stop on by.

Thanks for all the well wishes back and compliments on the car. I love that thing. Yes, the body panels are the most expensive parts, hope I never have to replace one. The hood is about 13 grand new, 7 on Ebay. Still, it's been fun for the short time I've had it, just a Sunday driver though.
The new stations at Apache and Canyon should be done now, not quite operational though. What was supposed to be a two or three month project has extended to almost a year. Lots of problems with the builders. They replaced the one at Bartlett also and it too should be done once they fix the flooring, they really screwed it up. We got a new boathouse at Pleasant too. I'm glad they left my station at Saguaro alone. It has its problems but I still like it.
We got some good grants coming in this year and should be getting some new dive gear for everyone. Pretty important stuff so I'm looking forward to it. Also hoping to get a big mobile dive command truck, its cool if we get it. Hmmm, what else...new airboat should come in soon, the other two are getting tired. A couple of those new Tomcars, I guess those are supposed to be pretty cool. Anyway, lots of new toys this year, just not enough manpower, we're gonna be stretched thin for a while.

So, can you give yourself an excessive speed ticket on the Bush highway and not have to wait around for the other guys???
