What are your skilz of choice for employment? I know I don't like being a parts slinger, frigin techs drive me nuts  :angry  mostly because I was one a long while ago and I watch them lie all day and rip people off.(WTH) Just venting I guess.

I have done a little bit of everything.  If I wanted to get dirty, I'd load my tools up and go wrench again, but that isn't my first choice.  I can run equipment, fix it, sell it, rent it, talk about it, troubleshoot it.  I grew up in the heavy equipment/dirt construction industry and it's what I know, so I'm kind of stuck here.  I have a bachelors degree that doesn't do me any good because I have a conscience so I can't bring myself to be an attorney.  Who knows.  I'm too big to be a helicopter pilot, the commercial fixed wing market is just as bad as everything else, and with either of those, I'd have to spend $50K to get all the classes and certifications to make $12-$15 per hour working part time teaching people how to fly...  I really just need to win the lottery.   :D

Playing in the dirt is cool but the bouncin around does get old. Turnin wrenches fun too but not when stuff starts going fubar (i.e. wrong tools, wrong part, poor working conditions)
I used to run some mining equipment but we were 3-4000 ft underground, got to play with dynamite too, that was pretty frikin kewl.
Lets buy a couple dump trucks and back hoes. Then let's go move some dirt. But I want a 3 day work week  :) .
