and we're OUTA HERE! I guess it's kind of a miracle that I've survived 50 years, and have been thinking of a way to make the birthday and the week in Moorea a little more memorable. Decided I want to get a traditional Tahitian tattoo, and have been leaning toward a Tiki head. Oddly enough, one like the Tahiti Boats tiki! I never really said I wouldn't get one, I just never found one I wanted for life. Now that I'm (more than likely) more than half way thru the journey, it's time to do it. I guess it beats getting one that look like a Spectra logo.....

We got the overwater bungalow figuring we may never be back, so do it right the first time. The deck of the bungalows go into the water in the lagoon and overlook Cook's Bay, so it'll make a nice place to just sit and sip beverages. Â You can take 2 litres of alcohol each, so we'll be bringing 4 litres of Crown Royal and keep a few Hinano's around for chasers. Full report with pics when we get back.

Ever hear of the Tahiti Syndrome?? You might not want to come back. Happy 50 from, a guy who's less than a year and a half from you...

Here's actually where we'll be staying.
I'm trying to line up a boat to drop us off on a Motu (the little islands on the reef) for a few hours with a couple beach chairs and a cooler. I'm not hard to please......
