We had to put down our 13 yr old pup, Jake.
He's had a tumor growing inside him for the last 6 yrs or so and it finally took its toll, he could hardly breathe, didn't eat, couldn't crap no more...his systems were shutting down.
RIP my buddy boy pal. Best dog I've ever owned :(

I know How you feel, trust me, I had to put down my little buddy down a few months ago, I feel, he was always there for me, and I coundn't be there for him.

wow.. sorry to hear that ziggy, and to the others who have gone thru it.
Just this weekend, my wife and I were looking at our TWO dogs who are also around 13 or so years old. And we know we won't have much longer with them.

Sorry for your loss Ziggy.  Your picture breaks my heart.  I have a 14 year old golden that is my baby.  She's been by my side through some tough times and she's taken care of me all those years, not the other way around.  No matter how bad my day is, when I get home, Fred always puts a smile on my face when she greets me at the door.  Yes, HER name is Fred, she just looked like a Fred, that's where my screen name comes from.  I know her day is coming and I do everything I can to spoil her until then, just to try to pay her back for what she's given me, but it will never be enough.

Man....I'm truly sorry for your loss, Ziggy. I lost my boy, Yukon Jack to cancer, and it was like losing my own child. Don't know if you're interested, but check out http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm. Rainbows bridge is a cool place for remembrance of your pet, plus there's some useful links.

We swore off pets when we had to put our last dog down, it tore us all up. Sorry for your loss Zig :(  but he's enjoying the good life now.

Sorry to hear that man.....I know how hard it is to deal with....they become more like a child rather than a dog. I lost mine about a year ago to cancer.

Sorry to hear about you pup, Zig. It is tough to loose a member of the family. We had to put our 11 yr old Golden to sleep a couple of years ago. It is still hard to look at her pictures. We miss her. :cry
