Question for the Arizona folks (or anyone else who knows);
Kind of a weird question because temperatures feel different to everyone.
We are thinking of hitting Sedona in August for a week and all the travel info sites say it is normally HOT that time of year.  What are your thoughts?
We will have our Toy Hauler to stay in and want to do some hiking and relaxing, our two dogs will be with us.  Was not sure if we should postpone till a bit later in the season because of the heat.
Thanks for any info I can gather.

Ken Sedona is absolutely beautiful that time of year. I lived in Flagstaff for 7 years and all summer long we would drive down to Sedona to swim in the creek and hike. It's mild there (compared to Havasu) maybe in the 90's at the most 100. There are great places to swim in the creek and hike in the woods surrounding... I'd suggest if you are towing that you not tow on the "Senic Route" 89A, it a terrible narrow curvy road with tourists parked all along the road , kind of a mess in the summer... HAVE FUN!  :good
PS - Totally check out Flagstaff too, it's amazing in the summer and there's lots of places to get away from the tourists.

:rotflmao OMG! I totally forgot about "WET BEVER CREEK" HAHAHA! That's great... We always used to make jokes about that place... Thanks for reminding me about that!

Might I also suggest Verde Valley for camping on the Verde River, lots of fun places to jump in the water there. Just watch out for the meth heads.. HAHA

We went there in July, it was pretty hot but not unbearable. We did the tourist thing and had fun at Slide Rock State PArk, but that was before the major flash floods a couple years ago

When you leave there(or make a day trip) go to Jerome, a old mining town...Very cool stuff to see there.

Just another FYI.....your annual pass(boat launch) is an Arizona State Park pass, you get in free at places like Slide Rock and Jerome......... ;)
