Sorry that is has been so long since i posted an updtae, I searched for the original thread but was unable to find it.

Well the thoughts and prayers have finally paid off, my bosses son has received a heart from an infant that past away in a car accident, the unfortunate accident that took the life of one saved the life of another, his heart was transplanted early Friday morning around 1am, by 6am it was beating on it's own. Friday night there was slight hiccup, evidently the baby that donated the heart had a slight infection due to some injuries in the accident, the heart stopped beating for a short while but they were able to determine the problem immediately and they got him re-started. As of this morning he is in ICU and will remain there until Friday, his prognosses is good, they will keep him at the Hospital for a minimum of 6 months his total time at UCLA will be over a year. I will keep you all updated as news is delivered.

Every once in a while I'd be holding my grandson and find myself thinking about that little guy, wondering how's he's doing.

That is great news! I am in the dark on this as I am kind of a newbe here, so can you give some details on what happened to him and how old he is?

Well my bosses son was released from UCLA on Friday, he is doing extremly well, the family has to stay up in LA for about 2 months, they are in a Hotel across the street from the hospital for now, the Hospital requires them to be no more the 45minutes from them at any time just in case. Even though they're stuck in a Hotel they're extatic to say the least, they're finally able to be a family, they're able to hold their baby boy without him being hooked to any machinery, he's playing with them and finally eating some real food. I talked to my boss yesterday and he sounds so happy, it is great for them to finally be able to have their son back where he belongs, with them...  :)
