It was actually an awesome weekend on Mo-choppy. Friday the wind was around 5 mph (sometimes none). Saturday, we were only going to follow everyone up to the south end of the basin, but the water was so smooth, we decided to head on up to Cottonwood. Perfect water conditions, I'll post some pics on DaddyMac's thread this afternoon. We stopped at Cottonwood, got some fuel, ate some ice cream and headed back, still with incredible glassy water. HOWEVER! as soon as we got back into the channel, the water turned to crap, the wind came up from the south and we headed into Gasoline Alley for the rest of the afternoon. For a while, the wind was headed right into the cove, and some of the bigger boats were having a heckuva time getting their anchors to hold.
Sunday, the wind blew all day. We stayed at the trailer and watched movies. Put the boat on the trailer at about 4 pm and headed out about 6.
