My this sucks big time, My f-250 is falling apart, we were doing some yard work over the weekend, and I popped a brake line up in the frame rail behind the fuel tank, the hole line is rusted out, This is being caused by that crappy liquid de-icer they are using on our hyways. I can not belive how fast my truck is rusting away right now, the rear doors, the paint is starting to pop out from the inside out. They have been talking about this for a few years, how this Liquid de-icer is eating away at brake lines and electrical.

Yup, me and the wife were sitting on the front porch talking about this, what if the line would have popped while I was driving to Iowa with my 30ft enclosed trailer with my car in the box, my trailer is 4000lbs and the car about 3200lbs, and lets say I was coming down the exit ramp at about 30mph or 40mph, slowing down from 65mph and a busy intersection at the bottom, and I lost my brakes, this would be one mess, this is just truly scary, and the thought is just bugging me to no end.

Holy crap that is not a good thing at all. Sounds like a reline of the brake system to me. Thats going to be one hell of a job to do.

Yes this is what I'm thinking, He is re-doing all the lines on the truck, and yes it is a big job, the fuel tank need to dropped, and then were going to look at my other truck, that is a 99 f150, I bought my 2000 f250 at the end of 04 with 60,000 miles on it, the guy never drove it in the snow, never been off the road, never seen salt, so this stuff eats thur. the brake line in under 3 years. The truck was so clean, you could eat off the frame, now you look at the frame, and you wonder how it's held together, I tried trading it in, in vegas, but they didn't want it.

Stainless is the only way to go back there!..
