I realized yesterday at about 4:00pm that my air conditioning at home was not working. Long night without much sleep, it got up to about 90 in my house by 10. So today I went and picked up 2 Mastercool portable swamp coolers we have at work, just to cool the place until the ac guy got there. I set one up downstairs and one upstairs. Started out great, the temps dropped about 10 degrees real quick. I let them rum for a while, then it became unbearably humid. I figured out that with the cooler inside, I was just continually rehumidifying the same air and the humidity was about 98%. So I move the cooler out so it's drawing outside air (dry) and then open a window on the other side of the house. The dry hot air from the outside hits the cool humid air on the inside and its like two storm fronts hitting each other. I'd swear I saw clouds forming on the ceiling. What next, lightning and thunder? The condensation was on everything, it felt like it just rained in my house. Fortunately, the ac guy shows up and after laughing his ass off, fixes the ac (warranty). I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight, it's 71 in here now, and the storm clouds are clearing. Just hope theres no fog in the morning.

Ouch, another sore subject. I made a bad choice and traded my diesel F350 for a brand new Expedition. I was a little sick of the big crew cab long bed, it was kind of a pain to work with. Anyway, I get a brand new Expedition, and after 2 weeks and 1500 miles, it starts overheating all the time. It only overheats when it's not moving so I, Mr. Badwrench, take it to the dealership and tell them I thing the fan is bad. They work on it for 3 days, replace about everything but the fan, still can't find the problem. I go in there today and raise hell and tell them I need my truck back for the weekend, one of the busiest weekends of the year, and they call me back 3 hours later and tell me they fixed it...had to put a new fan assy. in it.

Damn!! Isn't that amazing!! When there is air moving through the radiator, it tends to keep the temp down!!
