I have to give credit...again, to Mike and Rex Marine ....I had a exhaust flapper blow out on my Edge last week ....The second one to have this happen in the 5 years I have owned this boat. These are warranteed by Rex and the last time I mailed the tip back in the off season and they fixed it..free of charge...I sent Mike a pm asking if there is any way to prevent this from happening in the future ....Without hesitation he said ..Yeah...We have just upgraded the flapper hinge in the tips and its now just about indestructable ...I will send you a set free and send me back the old ones when you switch them out.... For the record about 90% of all the rigging done on my boat since new was done with Rex parts ...and other than the tip none has failed ...Customer service, above and beyond the call...Thanks again Mike!

Thanx again Brian.
btw if anyone else has any problem with our older no-burn flappers in our exhaust tips please let me know and I'll get them warrantied. Problems we've seen have been primarily in blown motor applications or NA motors with large cams that beat the living shit out of the flappers. Our new superflapper is much heavier duty in design. To date we've had zero failures with it.
