This new show has been great so far......it sure opens your eyes to what and where we go out for food...YIKES! One place they showed was so bad my wife couldn't watch the show... :eek

Ever since we remodeled the kitchen we haven't gone out to dinner......partly 'cause I can't afford it, but mostly because we eat so much better at home.  :D

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

I missed the first week but have watched since. The show a couple weeks ago in the Indian resturant was by far the worst. I would have ran from the place when Gordon found the ransid food down in the basement attracting the flys and bugs.  :eek   :puke  last nights was a good one. From about the first 5 minutes I knew the head chef was not going to change his ways. As the song goes "and out the door he went".  :laugh

Hopefully it will be a long series so we can go out and at least have a clue what they're serving us. Have a Mexican rest. up the street that wife and I had been eating at for years. We in one day with a "D Rating" on the door. Ordered to go. While waiting I read the notice says a copy of report had to be availible for customers. I asked and a 10 page list of complaints from the Dept of Health was given to me. I read page 1 and cancalled the order an left. It now has an "A" rating but I'm not going back.

We were at a Mexican restaurant a few weeks ago and I asked for my water glass to be refilled.  The guy filled it so full the water was at the top edge of the glass and ice was stick up above the glass.

I asked him to take my glass and bring me another one and he asked me why.  I showed him my glass and he picked up the glass and pored some of my water out and into the pitcher and then preceded to other tables and give them water.  We have not gone back to that restaurant since then.  

But the fact is.  If we knew what went on in kitchens we wouldn't eat in any of them.

Its funny, like today I went to a corner taco shop and actually admired how clean the kitchen looked from my vantage point. Never really did that before  :laugh

I don't consider it authentic Mexican food unless I find a hair in there somewhere... :D
