I am trying to figure out what a loan for a garage is listed as.
My banker is not quite sure and I am trying to find some info myself.

If you don't have the equity to pull it off, I would say that it's a 'home improvement' loan.  I would think that your banker would know.  If not, I would talk to a morgage broker, they should have a program that would work for you.  Good luck.

I have a friend here that can give me a good rate but she is not quite sure of the type of loan, she is supposed to look into it but I am just curious myself.
