Sorry, I'm not blowing anyone off.  I've just been away for a few days without internet access. :break

I felt fine at the LA Boat Show last Saturday and felt fine at work on Sunday.  After I got home from work though, I started bleeding from an ulcer in my stomach.  Before they could get it to stop, I lost about 1/3 of my blood. :eek  I'm home now and feel fine.  The part that sucks though is that I needed a blood transfusion. :eek  :beat  :banghead

Many of you have pending requests of me and I will try to get to them soon. I'm just a little backed up right now though.  Thanks for your understanding. :)

Thanks. :good  Between Nexium to combat acid, iron pills for blood replacement, and no :beer , I should be restored in about 2 weeks. :good

And yes, I needed 2 units of O Positive. :eek

As many of you recall, I went through this a couple of years ago, but to a milder extent.  I stopped taking painkillers, caffeine, and beer cold turkey.  I never drank heavily, but it definitely doesn't help matters.

Over the last 2 years, I eventually started taking Excedrin again and having a beer on a very rare occasion.  On our last river trip to Parker, I think I had 2 beers all weekend.  Evidently my vices gradually returned and got me in trouble again. :eek  So once again, I'm in cold turkey mode.  

A friend of mine and I sat at the bar at the lodge last night and the bartender grabbed a glass for me.  I had to stop him and ask for water instead. :rotflmao
