1972 If I remember right it was a whopping $0.43 per gal. :good

That reminds me that my dad would let me fuell up when I was around 14 years old and it was about $0.35.

$0.08 rise in 2 years, :good  Not a half a day! :beat

I think your right.......... I think that in 95,96 it was around $1.20 and deisel was like .89

Paid $3.99 for diesel today.....I got so excited after $4+ all summer...then I thought "You big dummy, $3.99 is STILL ridiculous!!!"

Oh, and when I started driving in 1979, I remember paying $0.73 per gallon.......

But then a six of Coors was $1.99....

Not sure what it is here today, but the Conoco right up the road from me shows gas price= $.ARM  Diesel=$.LEG :rolleyes

I paid $3.99 the other day in Huntington Beach, but with my bro's credit card he gets some sort of rebate on gas so it knocked it down to $3.87.  And even better...that $65 bucks was on his card, which made a slight dent in the $150 or so I spent driving them around all week.  He did spring for Legoland too, and the kids got in free.
