2nd - Has anyone stayed in Needles in a hotel? We are taking the trailer to Needles marina and some other people want to join us, and we are already maxed out. I'm afraid to even suggest a hotel in that town to them!!! Anyone stayed somewhere slightly nice, a place without roaches/meth heads/and or robbing maids?

Yo NT! da gig and mrsgig stayed at a Motel 6 a few years back that was clean and problem-free. Can't remember the address but you can get it from their website. If memory serves right, there are 2 or 3 Motel 6's. We stayed at the one that was on the Needles Marina end of town. There was a clean, very friendly Denney's right next door. We went out to tghe marina and hung out w/friends on a Sat. night and left da boat parked at the motel w/o any problems. :good  BTW; may da gig go? Pleeeeease..... :p

Do you know that they have cabins at the marina? They are a bit small, but the showers are close by and big and clean. That way you aren't dealing with having to shuttle back and forth. If you can get a spot out that way, it makes it easy stroll over and socialize.

As far as hotels, We've stayed at Traveler's Inn for years. Let's just say it's boat friendly - meaning you can usually park your trailer not far from your door if you get a room out back. Not the Ritz, but it has a pool and jacuzzi. Usually have food delivered from the local pizza joint ...not sure what they are calling it this week. It "was" River City Pizza...before that, a Mudsharks. Have a big party around the pool. The other places, across the 40, are a bit uptight and a few bucks more on average,  :good but check it out, call them all.

I should add: the place is a bit nicer now that the health dept. made 'em buy all new carpet, mattresses and A/C units.  :D

:eek  :beat   Fenders Motel is north of the bridge on the Cali side and has it's own launch rap...very "old skool", but comfy...does have RV spaces as well.

The Health Dept. comment was in reference to Traveler's. They are the stop over place for all the BNSF railroad guys and some of the rooms got a bit run down.

The cabins at Needles Marina are nice and clean. And Shue's right, they do have a few trailers. they seem nice. We were next to one once. You could get them to spot it near you if there's a space open.

I don't know about Needles, but in Havasu there are alot of homes and condos for rent by the day.  And pretty reasonable, too.  Look online or if anyone needs any help I have a property manager in my office that handles them, too.

Just livin' the dream in Lake Havasu.......
