I've seen this bill come up before, specifically in '97 and '01.

There is no doubt that was a bad period in our history, and hopefully we've learned from it. But it's time to LET IT GO!! It is not affecting anyone's life today. Do we still have issues with racism? Absolutely. But that has nothing to do with slavery and everything to do with narrowmindedness and ignorance.

My "Other Mother" is black and she is appalled by all this BS, as are all her black friends. We all agree, the "entitlement mentality" sucks.

Ya know, the Irish immigrants were treated horribly and horrifically and yet no one ever talks about what they endured. Where's the justice? Where are the reparations? :pissed

For such a great country we have way more than our fair share of idjits. :rolleyes

I don't think NFL or NBA players need anymore $$$, they probably don't wanta leave either. As for janitors, refer back to our H.S. grads. I don't see a shortage happening.
