Filled mine on Tuesday, got kicked back last night after 5, so I had to scramble and get the federal corrected.  Seems the gov't wanted all of the stimulus rebate back from last year, so at the last minute I find out my taxes owed went up ~600.00...  :beat

Spent an hour on the phone getting the first payment reversed, then had to refile, I got done about 9pm last night.

Needless to say I'm not happy this morning.

We had ours done for about a month but owed money to the Feds so we waited till yesterday to send them in. I guess last year was a good year but my bank accounts don't reflect it :stupid

E-filed, but still didn't get done till the last minute.  Mailed them back to the CPA on Friday, so I assume it got taken care of. I should have done it earlier. We're getting money back and now it'll take longer since I waited  :beat

I useally have more than enough taxes taken out of my pay to see a small refund at the end of the year.

Now I have made adjustments to my with-holdings to get my money up front and should owe for '09.

Recent events have made me lose trust in our glorious government to give it back to me when they owe me. And who knows, we may need to stand our ground and not file next year.

Just been to long since having withholdings I guess. Just blew the whole idea right out of the water. Of course if only those that were due money back filed and those that owed money didn't file it could still make a statement.

Breaking even like not paying or recieving just means their keeping everything you paid in. Ouch.
