It was the South West Show Down. Spectators were limited. Had racers all over participating. They said there were something like 270 plus cars entered. Saturday race was $50k. Sunday was $10k for on class and $3k for another. All races were 1/8 mile.  There was some real close races.

Sounds like that would have been a fun deal to go to. :good What's with the 1/8th mile deal though, why not 1/4 mile. :stupid

Several programs are doing 1/8 anymore.  I kind of like it.  It takes a lot of game playing away and you REALY need to be on the tree.

Yeah, I noticed that and some tracks don't even have 1/4 mile at all, lot of that is insurance crap, even boat drags have shorten their courses too, never cared for 1/8th mile myself.

Seeing several tracks that they are 1/8 only. There is one east of San Diego that's only 1/8 mile. With the redevelopment of Wild Hoarse Pass, we are waiting to see if the drag strip and the lake go away. The renderings I have seen they are gone.

Yeah, and they closed Carlsbad too, that is a shame that was a nice place, I been hearing for a while now that Wild horse is done, looks like Hidden Lake is off to a good start though. :good

Need to cruise out to Hidden Lake and check it out. Seems to be more events happening out there the past couple years.

If I heard right the next race is in April, from what I heard they're fixing the place up which is a good sign. :good

Hopefully that will be next race central. Not just on water but maybe they will put a dragstrip in.

Yeah, that would be cool if they have both, I haven't heard anything about a drag strip yet though, probably wouldn't hurt if you're association approached them on it though, that's what the ADBA did and it went over good, it would just mean more money for them if they put one in. :good

Finally got the tool bar done for the shed.  Came out working good.  Riveted strips of velcro to hold the larger tools.  In between I took threaded rod, 8 32 taped the  bar and used thread lock and a nut to hold them in place. These will hold smaller tools. Three screws through the top hold the bar on place on top of the existing bar.

Here is the end where I cut some 3/8 plywood and made a shelf to put what ever.  I used 2"x2" for the 2 legs just to help support the shelf.

I spent Sunday morning cleaning up the back yard that was way over grown. Was nice to have all the yard tools all in one place and easy to get to.  :good

I need to find someone that can cut an opening in the wall by the shed and put a 3" walk through gate in. That will make getting tools easier to the front yard rather than going all the way around the house.

Looking for take off wheels from a GMC Canyon. They are factory 17" wheel that would look great on the Colorado. I'm not going to pay $1300 for a set. That's stupid expensive. I may consider that price depending if they have tires and their shape.
