For the most part the weather was good.  Froze our butts off overnight. Sunday we had wind gusting to 20 mph. Being we were running 1/8 mile we were in good shape.

Had a couple issues with the car going straight friday and into Saturday.  We think one of the rear coil over springs has softened up. With that and this guy that came down was standing on the right side rocker with the door open as we moved forward in the staging lanes.  Once he stopped that the car was straight as an arrow.  Dialed a 5.81 for sunday and was going rounds.  There were at least 80 cars in Super Pro. Heading to the next round down to 6 cars. started having electrical issues.  Not sure if it's a battery or the charger not charging. got a killer light but it fell off at the top end and could only muster a 5.84. Back at the pits couldn't get the car to fire.

Looking at video I took, We can see the car has a strange droop in the right rear as it left the line.  We may try swapping the rear shocks assemblies in hopes the left is still OK to get it by until he can get another set of springs.

All in all we had a good weekend. A lot of cars that were from out of state for this gig. A member of ADRA won PRO for $3k friday night. Don't know who won the other categories or the other two days.

Sounds like it was a good time, bummer on the electrical though, kinda sounds like a lack of voltage going to the distributor. :stupid

It was a good time. Has a set of springs ordered and a set of front runners. They were flat spotted when he hit the brakes hard to not hit a jack a$$ with no clue in a dragster. Not sure when the next outing is.

New springs should make a difference, probably have to do some re tuning though but it'll be easier to drive. :good

Talking to a friend and he put 4 sets on his car in a year. You would think they would last longer for what they get for them.

No idea.  I didn't understand why they would go bad so quick. I can understand on a rock crawler or off road car, but they are basically just supporting the weight on these drag cars.  Not getting beat like a road course car or like I said an off road car.

Got them ordered yesterday, Didn't say when they will be here. Front Runners he is saying are going to be $220 each  :eek   I paid that for each tire on the HD last November

Yep!!!  Going to impact the vacation spots since people can't afford the gas to get there and if they do, not able to do a whole lot since everything is going up due to gas prices. Summer is going to SUCK if this keeps up.

Surgery went well got followup today, about 6 weeks get checked for glasses. :good

Can't do much over the weekend, but should get the tranny finished and start on the engine Monday. :good

Yeah for sure. :laugh  Doc said it was looking real good and to start on the drops for the swelling, that stuff works good too, swelling goes down quick and the fog goes away as the swelling comes down. :good
