I don't know how these guys do it sometimes. I'm talking the ones with the big cats running in the salt. They got to have detailers and mechanics on speed dial and an endless bank account.. Doug there can unbolt the wacker and bolt another one on and keep going. Still not cheap. Not to sure what salt will do to the gel coat but Will destroy the hardware though.

Still no matter how much detailing you do, that salt gets into places where you can't at and eventually rots away, I used to wash the $hit out of my trailer as soon as I got out of the water and flushed the engine, trailer still fell apart and rotted parts in the engine.

Have lots to do this weekend. Looks like I will be starting with oil change for GF's mom's car and see what ells I can get done to it. I have tune up parts, Belt and hoses that need to be replaced along with a cooling system flush. Need to get a t-stat and replace that since I'm there. Both trucks are about due for oil changes and all three need baths.

Well, with this good weather I'm just about caught up with all the small crap around the house, so by next week I should be able to get back to my projects, I hope.

Got to start somewhere I guess. I have to get to the GF's moms car this weekend. She wants to go to Payson next week.
15th I'll be in Tucson. Looks like the side wall on the slick on the driver side went to crap. Supposed to have another set by this weekend to be ready next week.

Days shouldn't be to bad. The night is most likely going to be quite chilly. The race is During the day Saturday. Not sure if we will come home That evening or Sunday. Depends on how all goes.

Worked on the Malibu this morning. GF's car. Got the plugs, wires, module and the belt changed. Got all the hoses off and flushed the system. Waiting on a couple hoses that will be here tomorrow along with a reservoir. Reservoir was in bad shape. Have a t-stat to go in as well. I'm there I might as well do that too. All in all no to bad of shape for 105k. Plugs were definitely ready to be changed. Hoses were getting hard and the belt was starting to crack and dry out. NONE of this has ever been changed on this car. Everything was original GM factory parts.

Not a bad idea, but it's front wheel drive. It's an '05 Malibu Maxx LS with the V6. I didn't finish it until Monday evening. They got me the wrong Heater hose. By the time I got it and realized it, the warehouse was closed for the day Sunday. Got the correct one and all is good now. Couldn't put the new reservoir in until I had the heater hose in, then the last of the hoses could go on. Had to replace the purge valve as I some how broke it during this extravaganza. 2 minute replacement. Only hose I need to change I can't get until next week is the one from the reservoir to the radiator. I put the old one back in for now so they can at least make their appointments the next few days and over the weekend while I'm gone they have a car.

Yeah, front wheel drive will only have an axle back there, they gotta have wheel bearings though, they must be serviceable I would think just like the front? Never worked on that stuff, don't really want to either.

Neither do I. I have done way more than I want to on this car. Only good thing is the car is in great shape for an 05'. We will see how much longer she will be able to drive it.
