Thats starting to look like the plan. Only thing is non of these lakes have any beaches. I may rent a dock at Pleasant Harbor for a day since the ones at the ramps are for short time only. Still in the planning stage but need to get it done.
Bartlett does, been there helping a friend a couple times, and I took mine there once and got kicked off the lake before I even got wet.
That couldn't have been good. I'm sure it's probly a good story.

Was kinda funny, just put the injectors on and had it backed in just enough to pick up water, was setting up the barrel valve and idle when this old basturd cop in a boat comes over and started yelling at me like I was some child molester or something, kept giving me a rash of $hit about noise and there was no way I was going to launch, meanwhile a boat goes by and drowned mine out when my buddy pointed him out to him he got all frustrated and didn't know what to say, he actually started to act like a two year old, so I whacked the throttle a couple times and yelled at him "don't worry I wouldn't put my boat in your $hithole lake", I thought he was gonna pop a head gasket.

Ended up having to be on call all day Saturday so I didn't get anything done on the trailer. Got up this morning and removed all the nuts. They were little rust but not bad. Except one. The nut was stuck to the bolt. Vice grips on the bolt didn't work either. SO I broke out my 3 inch cutting wheel and fired off the air compressor. Crawled under the trailer and had a heart to heart with it. Needles to say the bolt is shorter and the nut is off. Â Â Â Â Good having tools for destruction. Â

Guess pretty much all the grinding is done, he's got all the material for it, lumber just came in. He has time off in August so he figures he'll get it done then, I don't see it unless it cools down some, working with resin in the heat don't work too well.

Yea I bet resin's heat and the weather heat just doesn't make things fun. Unless you want a chunk of resin.

Thanks, yeah new technology is amazing, but what made it a lot easier this time is that she knew what to expect and how to deal with it, she didn't start therapy till the second week but she started working her knee out on her own the day after surgery while still in the hospital, so she was already ahead when she started therapy, I believe her next follow up is in 3 weeks and she said she plans on having full range of travel by then, she already can stretch her leg straight out, 90% of this $hit is in your mind.

I think I have everything but the boards to do the bunks. Went to a place over in Glendale and picked up the bolts and nuts. I need to spend more time in this place. Marks Bolts & Nuts. From what I can tell, If they don't have it, You don't need it. Everything is by the pound. I got 30 carriage bolts with nuts, washers and lock nuts for just under $19. All Stainless. They also have the parts to do canapes. I'm looking into that to park the boat under once I can get the wall up and the concrete poured on the side of the house.

This is one the new inside boards ready to go in. We still have the outside bunks to do. They are out. Inside ones are in. Once they are all in I will roll under the trailer and put all the nuts on.

WEEELLLL!!!???    Due to the front of the trailer has a tube running down the middle to about half way down the trailer. I jacked the front of the trailer up, took 2 18" 4x6's laid down and set jack stands on them. Mainly to eliminate stretching the jack stands up to high. Placed a 2x4 (couldn't fit anything bigger) across the jack stands over the tube with a heavy towel between the board and the keel. Then anther 4x6 12" long on  my floor jack laying down with a thick towel and jacked up the boat by the keel in the back slowly placing covered boards between the boat and the bunks until we could put a 4' long 4x6 between the outside bunks and the boat with a heavy moving blanket. Did the inside bunks and moved the 2x6's to the inside boards and did the outside bunks. Viola!!! Done!!! Just reversed the procedure to get the boat down. Probly not the best way, but it worked.
Finished up the outside bunks this morning and got the boat down. Just need to do the "V" shaped piece for the bow. I can do that one evening this week and slide it into place. Only issue is that piece slides on that center tube. One of the locking bolts broke off. Not sure if the other one will be ok or not. Some how that will need to get fixed.

I thought about that. Not sure if an easy out will work or not. Even though the bolt did feel real soft as it broke off. I may give it a shot, but I'm looking at cutting the bottom off and using a couple "U" bolts or making something of the sort instead to hold it in place.
