Well, at least you got one project done. Power steering pump and gas tank came yesterday, guess I'll get that in over the weekend before the crap weather rolls in.

Hope all went well with the Tank and PS Pump.
So far chevy is playing nice. Drove around Saturday with no issues. I ordered a new radio and speakers for it. Installed the radio Saturday. Still need to do the speakers. Spent the rest of the day dealing with the old tool box. I have it just about empty. Just a few things to find a home for that I don't want in the tool box. I'm going to keep one of my top boxes to put my upholstery tools and so on in.

Yep, got it all done before the crap weather came in.
Good to hear it's playing nice? You're an upholsterer? what kind of tools you need for that? Been looking at tools for leather, you could fill a tool box with that stuff too.

I have a few tools I have collected over the years. outside my scissors I have door panel tools, tack hammer. Staple guns, staple/tack removers. rubber hammer, hog wire clip pliers. snap tool. measuring devices as well as tools to make what ever size circle I want. Plus I need a place for misc thread, snaps, staples, zippers ect. I have a tub with misc. scraps for what ever as well. I want to keep this stuff separate from all my other tools that I use on the trucks and boat so I'm not hunting them down or getting mixed up.

Got the drive off the boat. Going to have the gimble replaced and bellows. Also a seal in the upper case for the lower driveshaft. Been 10 years since it was off. Glad I did. Have an oil leak as well. Looks like the gasket between the upper drive and the bell housing. I'll do the impeller while I have everything apart and replace anything with a gasket or "O" ring. Just seal it all up.

YIKES!!! What a week last week was. Apply for a job to get an interview with in a couple days to find out I'm hired. Most nerve racking week of my life!!! Â Â I start April 8th. Nice to know that my hard work and dedication has payed off as I was recommended to the company that hired me. Â Â not just a new job I get a raise and up to me if I want more. Â Â They also have no problem me taking the week off for DS. Â Â Bad think is that I will be going to 48th st and McDowell rd with working hours of 8 to 5. Commute will not be fun either direction.

Now for Saturdays Races. We got time runs in to be shut down by the track. Before the start of eliminations they decided to drag the track, Something they always do, to have the rubber pull up about half track on. The track looked like the end of a NASCAR race with all the rubber balled up all over the place and hunks pulled up. Bad thing is now that race has been rescheduled for May 12th. Mothers day. We will be down on the 11th as that was to be our May 18th race that was moved a week ago. SO that makes for a long 2 day race weekend. I have a feeling we are not going to have a good turn out due to mothers day.

That sucks, not the best weekend for a race but if everyone is chasing points never can tell, should be busy though.

Commute is going to suck both ways. I'll try a few different directions to find the best to and from.

We will see. We have a few already saying they can't make it. Who knows they may change their minds.

If you can stay off the dam freeways, might not be too bad.

Looks like I will be staying at the city unil the phone project has been completed. No one knew that management from the city had talked to the company I was hired on at to keep me on under their umbrella. I will keep my raise and bennies from the new company. This does help the city on all the things I have been doing that no one has the ability to do or the time. So monday April the 8th, I go to the new company and sign any final paperwork, get badged and anything ells then report to the city like I never left. This was what I was working on with the team leader to be done before I started looking for a job. But no one informed him that this was in the works. We agreed that time was not on my side to finding a job and I could not wait for the city to make up their mind on what they were going to do. What a cluster F!@#.

Got the boat back Friday afternoon. So today we got up and went to the dump to empty the trailer of the tree trimmings from last weekend. Then I started in on the drive. Replaced the impeller then dropped the upper half down on it. Then bolted it all up to the boat. Had just a little issue. The battery went dead. I forgot to disconnect it when it went into the shop 2 weeks ago. Took a bit to get the rams lined back up since one extended itself. The dead battery made this task even more interesting. But it's all back together ready for fluids. Battery may be junk. It's 4 years old and I was going to replace it anyways. OH!!! And to top it all off. The battery in the chevy went south too. I think it's done it's job. It's stamped J4.
