What a busy crazy long week. I had my 40 hours in and then some by the time I left work Thursday evening @ 6:30. Once everything was done on Friday, I bailed at 1pm. got home and relaxed a couple hours and went out and pulled the wheels off the boat trailer. Going to go and get them done today. Then I'm going to get what I can done around the house. Including doing what I can with the fender and get the light back in place. Not going to get in any hurry or stress if I didn't get anything done or not. My a$$ is beat from this week.

Didn't make it to run the boat. Between tired and the wind We didn't fee like going and battling the wind. SO Saturday I get the tires on the trailer and bent the fender somewhat close to where it was so it's not pointing at the tire. Doesn't look good but for now it will have to do. Sunday I played around the garage got my work bench cleaned off and got a 4x 2 sheet of peg board up. Also re-arranged a shelving unit to get a couple large things on it to get them off the floor and out of the way. Didn't get in a hurry just plugged along. Still have a shelf to put up and find a home for my old tool boxes and half the garage will be wide open.

Yeah, this weather is something else hard to get things done, at least you accomplished something that needed to be done, that's moving forward so that's always good.

I may kick the trailer out of the garage for a few days and work on that side of the garage pulling down the peg board that's going to be in the way running my electrical. Once that's in then maybe put some back and some shelving. Before that , I need to get a shed to put all the yard stuff in and get it out of the garage.

plus I don't have to build it. I'm looking at a 6x12 and having the door shifted all the way to one side. Then I have an idea to be able to get the mower in and be able t slide ladders in the one end of the shed. Then I can put shelves and hangers in for tools and anything yard related.

Got a lot more done to the garage. I actually have about an 8ft path open. Moved the one shelf and added 4ft to it and hung the last peg board in front of the worl bench. That was Saturday. Sunday I cleaned up the yard, hosed off the patio and the concrete out by the trees. Went to the folks to declare their PC as DOA. Today Got my old tool boxes totally emptied and finished sorting and putting the last of the screws away. I also spent some time trying to clean up the prop on the boat. Sitting all weekend at DS it now has a hard grime layer. I can scrap it off with my finger nail so what I need is a good stiff brush , a little soap and water and it should be clean again.

We at least got to run the boat Saturday Morning. Ran pretty good. Really like this new prop. Gets on top of the water quick and seems to have more lift during cruising. Had a different ride when crossing other boats wakes. Only issue is the fuel pump is making noise. back in 2012 I replaced just the pump with a Mallory. Mercruiser replaced the pump and the cool fuel tube I'm guessing to a new and improved version prior to that and was $550 for the kit. Well I was hoping the price would come down over time before I had to replace it again. WRONG!!!. If I'm pulling it all out to do it again. I'm doing it all along with the regulator that I'm seeing for about another $150 on top of the fuel pump kit. That little project will take a few hours on a Saturday to do. Just a pain in the butt to get to and put back.

Great news on the prop, looks like you lucked out on the first one that don't happen too often. Sucks about the fuel pump though, you running good gas or just corner skunk pi$$??, that stuff will destroy everything.

Good question. This is fuel from last September when we went to Havasu. Has fuel saver but I think I got gas across the street from the Terrible's in Havasu.

Went out to Keyston Bro's at 41st ave and VanBuren afterwoork yesterday to see what they were and what they have. They have a lot of upholstery materials. Best selection for marine I have seen. I wanted to see what they had in the way of carpet. They have want I need for $99 a liner yard with the backing for snap in. This is 12ft wide stuff. So 2 yards should get it done. Just need to double measure to make sure. They also have a nice selection of vinyl's.

I used to go by there all the time but never had the time to stop in and see what they had. Not a bad price for carpet if it's good quality, do they have good marine fabric besides the vinyl?.

I was talking to a friend about the fuel pump and setup in the boat. The fuel system is basically straight out of a late 80's early 90's car/truck. With the exception of the fuel delivery. Why can't I take a standard high pressure pump, marine approved, and regulate it down to 39lbs of pressure and by pass all of mercruiser's BS cool fuel? GM didn't cool the fuel before going into the throttle body and a car/truck is going to be warmer under the hood than this boat. Definitely I would put a gauge at the T-body to monitor pressure to make sure it's getting what it should. Who knows. The thing might even run better.

You have the same POS garbage that I have in the Burb then About the only thing you can do to improve on that is take it all off and throw it in the trash..

I have thought about that. Going to be pretty expensive to do. If I go with a carb or even some other fuel injection system, an intake will be needed. The intake is proprietary to the current throttle body.

All you need is intake, carb and HEI, if you wanted you can use your existing pump just add a regulator all plumbed to your existing fuel lines, all that stuff is plentiful out there pretty cheap. Â
BTW, I just made an adapter for the TBI intake for a 2 barrel carb on that motor out of that white burb, gonna put that motor in the wife's car.
