Decided to take the weekend and do nothing. We went to a baby shower Saturday afternoon and then spent time with dad on Sunday. Other than that, me and the couch had a long meeting while beating up the remote. So far this coming weekend is open. I probly should get something done.

Didn't get much done over the weekend. I did fix a speaker in the chevy, Cleaned out the back of the truck, sorted and wrapped up my tie down straps. I keep a set in the Taco and the Chevy so now they are where they are supposed to be. That was Saturday morning. In the afternoon we did a little running around we needed to do. Sunday I watered half the backyard. Should have done the whole back yard but I kept forgetting about the sprinkler. so after 3 hours, I turned the water off and said screw it.

Went Friday afternoon and picked up carpet for the boat. Spent Saturday sweeping and rearranging a few things so I can roll it out and start cutting. I still need to find something to make a pattern. I don't want to use the old carpet due to it being so tor up. Be nice to find something like poster board CHEEP. Even if I have to staple several pieces together to get it done. I had someone tell me they used some clear plastic that was thick to hold it's shape and stay in place. They said it was great since they could look through it and see where they were and were to cut.

I ended up getting a roll of masking paper at the Depot. stuff is pretty thick but easy to cut to shape. Working out great so far. I still have 2 spots to get cut out. Back behind the drivers seat to the door and the walk way through the windshield. I'm doing this in sections and taping them down and together as I go. Only issue I had was the paper didn't want to uncurl. SO I rolled a bunch out and left it over night on the garage floor with boards and what ever I could find to make it rest. Worked out nicely.

Finished up the pattern last evening. Trying to get it done so we can hit the lake. I went to Lowe's yesterday afternoon and picked up some lights so I can work after dark. They work pretty good. I wanted something that I can grab one light and hang it or what ever, or be able to use the lights in different angles on or off the stand. I can remove the dual setup and only use one light on the stand in the middle as well. Most the lights I looked at the lights were connected together and could only spread apart maybe a couple feet. To me not very useful. I also wanted LED, the halogen's get to hot and I didn't need to generate any more heat where I'm working.

They lit up the inside of the boat pretty good. The backs did get quite warm but the heat from the light itself wasn't to bad. I went out last evening and cleared a big area and rolled the carpet out. Pulled the pattern out of the boat and got it in place on the carpet. That's as far as I got then the mosquito's stated attacking. I had one of them 3 wick repellent candles going but that didn't seem to faze them.

I got all the carpet cut out. now to get it in the boat and check everything out. I even got the ski hold door cut out. Was out in the garage this morning about an hour. Heat and humidity was just to much. May have been better if I had some kind of air movement. I used something to trace the pattern onto the carpet that worked pretty good. I used one of them sharpie paint pens with the fine tip on it. I used white, but they do come in several colors.

Yep, that humidity is a killer definitely need to get the air moving, I have a big fan in the shop I can put it on low and it's not too bad... Sounds like you're coming along good on the carpeting, should look good.
