I went to the steel yard Thursday afternoon and picked up two 10ft 4x4 posts. Figure if I start gathering stuff that I will get this wall, Gate and concrete done. Not sure if I needed 10ft or not but I will sink them as far as I can leaving no less than 6' above ground. Now to start busting up the sidewalk that's in the way.

Well that's sucks!!!! Â Someone beat that bone head to a pulp? Some peoples children. Â
Yes it does, good news it's back on, they called me by the end of the day and and they have setup for Monday at 1:00pm, that was quick and I bet they they juggled $hit around and rescheduled someone else to do this, bet they pi$$ed some else off too. But they couldn't screw around because if they waited too long and let the medical clearances expire, then they would have to pay for that too, and they sure don't want to do that.

Cleaned up the front yard Satuday morning. CE brought over an edger about a year ago and told me he didn't know if it ran or not. SO I decided I was going to see if it was keeping or junking. Â Â Removed the little gas that was in it that was rotten as hell. Pulled the air cleaner, put some fresh gas in it and put a little in the carb. 5th pull it fired and ran. Â Â The throttle cable was stiff and the plastic controller broke where the cable mounted to it.. Shot the cable with WD40 and hose clamped the cable to the handle. Worked like a charm. Cleaned and put the air cleaner back on. Â So I ran up to the Home-of-the de-pot and got a blade then ran that thing up and down the drive way. Looks much better than using the weed eater. Â

Well I'm back and fixed, sorry couldn't reply sooner but somehow my charger got lost and phone went dead and lost all communications, just got a charger last night. A nyhow, had to go to rehab Fri and should be back home by the weekend, that is pretty intense surgery, but with my health he said it was the easiest one he's done in a while. Sure will be glad to get back home, but sure gonna be boring not being able to do $hit for a while.

Well, back home and all is well and on the mend, blew by rehab evaluations with flying colors, they couldn't find any reason to keep me there. Â About 3 weeks to be fully mobile and 3-4 months to be a 100%, but Doc said with my health he can't see anymore than 3 months.

Good News. Now don't push it!!!
Haven't been able to pull myself to look at a computer since Thursday. Figured I would check in here and I needed to check emails.
Been working on removing the sidewalk on the side of the house. I got what was behind the gate broke up and ready for the dump. Now I need to get the front part done.

This week SUCKS!!!! Nothing but issues with the old phone system. Not getting much done that I need to.
Thats OK. I'm leaving early today since I stayed late a couple days dealing with this thing. That will give us an early start to get to Tucson. Fuel Alterd's and Funny cars tonight and Saturday Night. PLUS we are running along with ADRA, AZ Super Gas, AZ Supercomp and Tucson's local club R1320. Going to be a busy long night. We will come home sometime sunday afternoon.

That was a quick weekend!!! All good though. Before we got started Saturday, Wind came up and we had a nice little shower that cooled things down, but added to the humidity. The fuel cars didn't get started until 6:30. An hour later than scheduled. Tat put EVERYONE back as we didn't get our first qualifying round in until about 8pm. Once we got rolling all was good. Had a couple cars break, not on the track, and we didn't have any oil downs that I know of. We had a couple new cars piloted by ladies. Front engine dragsters. One was a small block chevy powered that's driven by the 18 year old daughter of Jim Maroney. Yes the pilot of the American Flow Tech top fuel Dragster. Jim was out driving one of the fuel funny cars as well. We had 8 cars in our Top Comp class and 18 in our Sport comp class. A lot of close runs.
I didn't get to watch the fuel cars all night, BUT I was able to catch the finals from just behind the water box. Always fun to watch these cars at night and always fun to be close when they are fired off. Nothing like the smell of Methanol, Nitro and hot rubber to get the blood pumping at 1am.

We had a better showing than we thought. We were also missine a few of our regulars due to family functions. But all in all I hope we start getting more participation.
Next year should be interesting for the owner of the program. We have announced that we are taking the year off. Between work beating me up for the past year and half and needing to get things done around the house, we need to cut a few activities out. I'm trying to get the sidewalk removed so I can get things ready for concrete and a wall. We would also like to take a real vacation and be able to plan it with out having something get in the way.

Yep!!! Tired of not getting things done for days or even weeks.
Speaking of. CE brought over a jack hammer Tuesday evening. I have been breaking up the last of the sidewalk. I have all but a 5ft section to get done. I will get that tonight. Last night I couldn't hold on to the thing any longer. My hand just got tired from moving it around. Then Comes the task of getting it all cleaned up and to the dump. Unless someone wants some old broke up concrete.

Yeah, jack hammer sure beats a sledge any day. cleaning and hauling the $hit away is no fun though, but when it's all cleaned up you'll be glad you did it.
