Was a good but fast weekend. BB-q'ed a turkey Saturday that came out great. All the kids were there along with my folks, CE , the GF's brother and sister in law and a coupe friends. Had a full house for sure. Didn't do anything on Sunday even though I should have done something.  :laugh

Didn't do too much here either, just changed all the shop lights over to LED, what a difference should have done that a long time ago. :eek  :good

Buddy went to the China Store and got some of their 5000 lumen LED lights and it gave him double the light in his garage. I'm looking to put them in the garage once I get to that point.

Yeah, and half the cost to run them, amazing how bright they are almost need sunglasses in the shop now. :laugh And they are a no brainer to convert them, 10 minutes to rewire one done deal. :good

Nahh, just rewire them, $hit can the ballast and connect them direct, I used double ended bulbs because that's all I could get, single ended are even quicker to wire up.

Went put Friday all day looking at vanities for the hall bathroom. Picked one up at Lowes we liked to replace the pedestal sink. So that will be my project for the next couple days.  :banghead

OH it was WAAAAYYY to much fun. But it had to be done. There was no place to put anything and had to get the drain leak fixed.

I also picked up a kit at Home depot to change the florescent light in the garage to LED. Issue I had was the bulbs are about 1/4 inch to short. Now I don't know if it may be the fixture as it seems pretty old or if it's the lights. I was able to make them work. These were single ended bulbs/kit. Went pretty smooth and quick until the length issue. The bulbs are 2000k lumin each. Once done I don't think I have much brighter or more light, but it seems to be whiter cleaner light.

All my shop lights are 48" which is standard size, maybe yours are antique :stupid What was the wattage of the old bulbs??, I had 40 watt bulbs and I got bulbs that replaces 32 watts and they have 5000 lumens at 16 watts, twice as bright as the old stuff.

This is a 48" fixture as well with double bulbs. I will have to look at what wattage the old bulbs were. I didn't pay any attention to them when I pulled them out.

That's strange they should fit, unless you got defective bulbs :stupid but since they are single ended the other end don't do anything anyhow so anything to hold that end up works.

Well we are ready for Christmas. Got the lights on the House and Frosty setup in the yard and anchored down. Tree went up last week. Now if we could just get some dryer weather to enjoy them all. We have 6 of the nine houses on out street lit up. Be nice if we could get everyone lit up.

With all the rain yesterday I had to go and drain poor Frosty out. He was full of water and couldn't stand up. Once I got him standing I left him on for the evening. He still has a little in the bottom that I can't get out. I hope it will slowly drain through the nylon.
