NOOOO!!! We don't want more broken parts!!!
Been having some goofy issues with my network. Also been unable to get into my router unless I reboot it. Issues have been getting more frequent the past couple weeks. So I bounced for a new router that I will setup over the weekend. I got ASUS RT-AC66U B1 AC1750. Was talking to a coworker that got this and was doing great. So I decided to run with it. I have a Linksys now that I'm thinking about 5 years old and it's heading out to pasture.

I have an Arris Surfboard combo about 3yrs now and it still works good, never had one of them before always used Lynksys or Netgear, but I'm pretty satisfied with this one.

I had a Netgear before this Linksys. Both seemed to do pretty good. This Asus had good reviews and the coworker is one of our network guys so I figured I would give it a shot.

Got it setup just can't get my PC setup on the new network for some reason. I don't do this often enough and can't remember how to get that done. Oh well I can get into work and everything ells is connected up and working. I can deal with that some other time.

Looks like the circus on the water was in full swing from what I can tell on Saturday. Long lines at Windsor and at Havasu Marina to get on the water. Saw a couple pic's of 2 different boat accidents on the river. One v-bottom outboard on a doc and it looked to be some kind of pickle fork on a pontoon. No injuries from I'm hearing. The pontoon was docked.
Next week should be real interesting if this is a precursor.

There was three accidents in the same spot by Sundance right next to a friend's house, only the guy in the outboard got banged up but he's ok doing fine, best part all three was just $hit happened, no alcohol was involved, it was just like a long weekend out there, can't wait to what it'll be like next weekend. Number 3 I saw this morning. This coming weekend will be a weekend to have a cooler and a lawn chair set up just to watch the action. Launch ramps will probly be rather entertaining as well.

I have been keeping this under wraps until I was sure it was going to happen. I'm going to move over and work on the new phone system No more NOC!!! I go in Tuesday and train a guy to take my spot in the NOC. I need to take a course to get up to speed on the basic system to setup phones and so on. BUT, I'm finding the course they want me to take is no longer available as of Feb 2020. So now I'm waiting to see what they want to do. Going to be SOOO nice not to be glued to a chair.

Congrats. So now you won't have to sit behind a desk all day?, that'll be nice to move around. Looks like they're a little late on the course I'm sure there's some other training available for that job.

I hope I can do some running around. I should once I get settled in. I found the course training, but no certification. I'm going to try to go over some of it over the weekend.

You would think. I went through about 4 hours worth and I don't think I have the correct info. I poked around for another 2 hours and still not really sure what they are after. I will nail someone down tomorrow to get the correct info. I really don't want to spend a lot of money on something I won't get any certification for.

As for the boat. Â Â I got the drive off and I got the shift cable bellows replaced. As I finished that up before putting the drive back on I decided to investigate the bare wires at the trim sensors. The insulation was shot. It just crumbles as you move the wires clear up into the transom. Â Â So I picked up both the trim and position sensors. I have the old ones out and the new ones I have the wires pulled up into the boat. I still need to finish routing the wires and connect them. I also still need to pull the wires into place at the transom and reinstall the clamp. Then I can put the bell housing back together and hopefully get the drive back on. Probly won't get it back together until next weekend since I have to go into the office. Â
What's taking time is getting to things and getting things to cooperate. I had a he!! of a time getting the bell housing pivot bolts out. Then to get to the clamp holding the sensor wires. The bell housing had to come loose to get to the cable clamp. They tell you that the bellows has to come off. I'm able to get to the clamp with out removing the bellows. Not easy but it works. I screwed up by installing the shift bellows and not having the cable routed through it. So it had to come back out. Once everything is back together I still need to adjust the shft cable. I hope that goes a lot smother that the rest of this project. Oh and dealing with mosquitos hasn't helped either. Been eating my a$$ up.

No they don't. I think the chevy had to be talking to the boat. All Good!!! After 20 years of really not having to do a lot but maintenance I can't complain to much. Once I get this done I hope I can enjoy it for a few trips to the water.
