Ok so I'm dealing with a go kart that was built in the late 40's. Neighbor gave it to us with a new motor that has been sitting for about 10 years. All the linkages wear gone and parts to the funky clutch setup. We got it running and I took a trial ride in it. Its fucking dangerous at high speed. Now that I know it runs I am going to TIG up a new frame and go to a live axle.

Now for the specs:  Onan 18hp twin cyl, studebaker 3 speed trans, steering column is out of an old model A. Its on thing angle frame that has been both welded and brazed together. Remember it was built in the 40's so its kinda cool how they made do. I never asked what the original engine was. I GPS'd it at 49.2 mph on the gravel driveway. I tried for to beat that speed on the pavement but couldn't keep it in a straight line.

Throw some bigger tires on the back and I'm sure you'll pickup some mph...   :beer
