It actually has the 660 Raptor motor in it.  It's a bad mo-sheen.  Some of my buddies have one and duned it all over Glamis with no paddles.  It's 4x4 as well.  Pretty sweet.   :good

I don't know.  Not really in the market for one so I didn't ask.  It's pretty fuckin' sweet though.  4x4 and went through all the big shiznit in Glamis from Gecko over to Olds without paddles.   :beer

OK, I did a search and found an MSRP of $8500.00 which is alot less than what I figured.  That's really not that bad.  I was figuring closer to $12K easily.

Note in the pic the Raptor is narrower and much taller than the YFZ450. A huge disadvantage.

I had the Raptor and after I re-jetted it, it was a land rocket.

The Raptors legacy will be it's too tall, too narrow, too tipsy.

We're sand dune riders here in the southwest, and wider, lower quads fit the terrain.

I sold it, and bought 2 YFZ 450's. They have super stearing, light handeling, great powerband and just more fun to ride.

We love um.

cool set up there happy hour!
I'd love to have one of those YFZ450's? I bet that thing is wicked fast. But for starters, next year I'm going to buy a new Yamaha WR450F. Currently riding a 1984 Yamaha TT600 with a big bore kit. Had that bike since 1988. Time to upgrade. Can't wait! Gotta love those Yamahas.... :good

Congrats Linda and Jason.
Let's get together sometime early 2004 and go riding together. I want to show you guys those places I've been talking about outside of Parker. Maybe we could do a 3 day weekender at the river house Jan or Feb. Just let me know. Have fun!  :good

:jumpie thanks guys. yeah i can't wait to explore all over out there in AZ. i really wanted those 450's(i'm jealous :D ) but i think the 400 will be plenty for me to handle-we're talking serious new guy here. i only weigh a buck fifty soaking wet anyway. wanna here the funny part? neither one of us want to tell our families that we bought these things so we're stashong them at a friends house till after x-mas. then we're going riding out in topok for a few days. mike-can't wait to see i'll the cool shit you been talking bout out there. i think our riding trips will be few this winter as i am about as strung out on credit as one can get. just got back from shopping for riding gear (we had NOTHING) helmets boots gloves ramp etc about 950 bucks worth. now i just gotta get to the riding part! i've been pacing back and forth since i got home. i hope the financing works out :eek i'll have pic's as soon as we get home and sneak a lap or to around the house here ;)

I am soooooooo excited!

Do you know nobody carries pink riding gear? :stupid   Owell, would have clashed with my yellow bike anyways!

Can't wait to ride with all you "dirty" people :rotflmao

Next on the list, we need to recruit the Scubas into sandtoys.

Congrats guys.

And nope we wont be buying any dirt toys any time soon.

Next on the list is a sweet 10 year wedding anniversary trip, new tow rig, house, bigger boat, then retirement. I dont think we have any room for dirt adventures.  :laugh  :)

Oh yeah and some where in between all that send Angelisa to USC. So I guess retirement will have to wait for a long time.  :laugh
