I built this Fugitive II back in '84 and she has a 2180, 44 Webers and a close ratio transaxle. I prefer this to a mid-engine because I like doing wheelies.  :D

That's the whole idea, just to have fun.  :beer

I learned many moons ago whether it pertains to bikes, buggies, boats or whatever else, no matter how fast you think you are, someone eventually comes along with something faster.

I like my stuff to be fast, but dependable too!  :good
