Start calling just before week 6 to keep the fire burning. I know a couple of guys who were strung along for a while.
What dealer did you go with? |
When we ordered ours they said 6 weeks and it took 12 weeks . It all depends on the run they are doing at the time.

Quote (NakedTurtle @ Oct. 24 2006,12:04 pm) | Check out the new cherry wood cabinets they offer in the wide body's!  Very nice! Too bad they didn't have that in the Superlights  |
Too bad they're not real cherry wood. Weekend Warrior does not use "real wood" in their trailers, but instead use particle board cabinets with veneer type contact paper. It looks great until it starts to peel. We were totally turned off by Warrior when we looked deeper than the skin. Warrior has been having big time problems due to the tare weight of the trailers being above the max gross weight, and tongues bending. The standard tires for non-superlites are 15" that are not rated for the max gross wt of the trailer. There have been many complaints of cabinets(mainly the TV cabinet) falling off the walls while being towed. They have serious customer service issues as well, and don't hold their values as well as others according to NADA Guide. To read about the issues, visit RV.NET forums. We looked for 11 months before deciding on our trailer, which is a garage model with bedroom slide and living room superslide. We also were able to buy our trailer which has every available option and upgrade for $33200 OTD. The msrp for ours was $59680. The only thing we've added is a MovinView satellite dome for DirecTv.

Way to rain on someone's parade! Glad you like your trailer, I'm sure we will like ours. Were you in Glamis the weekend before Thanksgiving? Someone with a "Trailer Trash" sticker almost ran us off the road trying to pass on the 86... From your previous post sounds like something you might do... PS-Nice sticker

NT, you're gonna love your trailer. Anybody who has a trailer, boat, car or a kid for that matter, will tell you they ALL have issues.
Just take your time and go over the rig thoroughly with the salesman before you take delivery. I know its hard - you'll be all excited and giddy like a kid on Christmas, but you have to look closely at details. Switch switches, slam doors, make sure everything lines up. Take a close look at the caulking at all the seams you see inside AND outside.
Make sure they tell you everything and ask lots of questions. Did you know that the roof itself has a good warranty - BUT the caulking around it has to be replaced every 6-12 months to keep the warranty in effect!
I just re-caulked mine before T-day. Oh, pop the caps off the wheels and check to make sure the bearings have been greased and that they replaced the rubber dust seals. My buddy's brand new rig was missing one cap and mine didn't really look like it had been greased properly.....especially after I had to pump in a whole tube.
Did you get a fuel station? Make sure you get all the little doo-dads like the crank for the stablizer jacks, the hooked end rod-thingy that you use to pull down the canopy.
And once you get it home and loaded try to find a public scale to find out just what you have in terms of weight (and how it's loaded, balance wise)
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

Thanks Glassman! I found a pretty comprehensive of things to check for during the inspection over on glamisdunes. It seems redundant but I WILL make sure we check everything. So you re-seal yours yourself? Hmmm... Interesting... We'll have to do that, we are also buying a cover for when it's in storage, any thoughts on that? I heard there's a public scale somewhere off the 10 near Palm Springs, do you know where that is? And yep, everyone has their own opinion on what's the best. And EVERYTHING has problems. I also feel it's most important how you care for your toys that has the greatest impact on how long they last. Everyone is always so quick to blame manufacturers... Like "JEEZ why's my boat falling apart already, I take real good care of it and park it outside in the sun beside my house in Corona 365 days a year, I can't believe that my paint has faded in only one year, it must be defective..." Uh duh...
